    Hey Guys,

I got a white q5 and I want to black out all my chrome trims around the car. Is there a certain procedure to take out the trim around the window so I can paint it and put it back on? Also what about the trim near the bottom of the door, is that just something I rip off and stick it back?? Below is the list of the things I want to black out but I'm unsure on how to take it off correctly and not damage anything.

    - Front Grill
    - Window trim
    - Roof trom
    - Door trim
    - 4 rings in the back

Not permanent but plastidip can be a good option. No need to remove the trims, and the overspray can be removed easily.

I'm pretty certain that removing the door trim is a major PITA and likely will damage it.

    I'd suggest this : http://www.amazon.com/Trimbrite-T900.../dp/B00029XD62

You can put vinyl on it. What about the bars on the roof? There's a guy on here that does it professionally in California I think. Mine came with black roof rack bars and trim so it is possible to swap them, but it's probably expensive.
