    Variable valve timing solenoid problems?

So I recently brought my car in to get fixed cause my car seemed to be misfiring when I would get up to speed on the highway. After 3 weeks at my mechanics he said there's was still an issue with my variable valve timing solenoid and that it's not circulating my oil back through. He said there might be some sludge so he put a solution in my oil to try and fix it. I after I left I noticed that now when I get up to speed my car seems like it's misfiring again at 2000s rpms and my check engine light flash but once I go below 2000s rpms the light goes out. Anyone have any idea what could be happening. I also had my fuel injectors and spark plugs replaced about 2 months before this all happened.

I think you need a different mechanic. Might be some sludge so he put an additive in the oil? He's spit-balling. I know 3 or 4 good indy techs here in town that have VCDS and know how to use it. I'm sure there are plenty more in the Boston area. If not, take it to the dealer.

Haven't heard about an issue like that. What are the codes?

I'd start by reading your codes with VCDS.

I doubt any oil sludge bullshit is gonna help.

If you're not comfortable doing the work yourself -- there's a handful of shops in the Boston area that do fantastic work and are reasonably priced.

The p0303 is most likely a bad coil pack but the p0011 is an intake camshaft position timer
