    Wheel swap question

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I need new wheels and tires on my b5 S4 but also wanted to get new wheels and tires on my B8.5 S4 (19x8.5"), I would like to swap the combo from the new car to the older one and put AG M590 20"x 10" on the new one........if that makes sense.
    Has anyone put 19x8.5 (ET43 I believe) in a B5?

    Thanks,
    Eric

BTW, I did do a thread search but only found where someone put 18" B8 wheels on a B5 not the 19's.

are you trying to use the original b8 tires as well? I would guess the tires would be too tall, as 19s are already large in themselves, but without numbers it would be hard to know for certain. With et43 and 8.5" you will likely need something like a 8-10mm spacer if memory serves.

Put on 225/50r17 B8 Sport wheels onto my B5. Clearance issues in the back for some reason so I had to use 5mm spacers.

You'll want at least a 35 profile tire to fit a 19 properly, but that'll make it much easier to bend the rims

Yes, I want to just swap the B8 wheels and tires to make it easy, the tires on the B8 wheels are 255/35 ZR 19, the car only has 10k miles on it so the tires have a fair amount of tread. I was hoping to get away with just needing spacers and a hub bushing.

Try a soft test fit first as it's possible the 19" peelers will not clear the wide HP2 brake calipers on the B5. You could use 3-5mm spacers if you need a bit more room. You'll also need 66.56mm to 57.1mm hubcentric rings to correct the centerbore.
