Does this mean i need my Strut is dead?

hey guys, was noticing a clunk sound coming from the front of the car when i go over bumps. checked the control arms and the bushings on the upper fronts are totally F***ed. so those are going to be replaced



also found that my passenger side front strut looks like this:


while my drivers side strut looks like this:


I am pretty content with the DRC except the clunking noise, is this something i need to address right away? just concerned about the leaky, fluid substance seeping through on the passenger side strut. If they must be changed, i was thinking of getting Bilsteins.

Your upper arms are definitely toast, but I don't see much fluid leaking. When they do go, it usually is clearly visibly seeping down the strut and it always looks like fresh oil. How many miles on them? Do you know if the recall was ever done on them?

recall for DRC was done at about 33k miles . the car is at about 73k miles now.
