Shouldn't be a problem wheel wise, I just tested the same setup - but tires will be the big question mark. What width tires are you going to run?

I can't imagine you would want any wider than a 245 in the fronts. Especially if you're lowered.

You're probably going to rub a bit if you don't roll your fenders, its close. I'm running a 19" x 9.5" et 43 with a 245 no rubbing at all. I ran a 3mm spacer at first, et of 40, and it would rub on the that stupid fender liner screw. Removed spacer and screw, no rubbing. Have about 5mm of clearance between rim and strut.

    the tires are 235/40/18
    so the tires do stretch
    and the car is lowered
i just dont know how low tho

I was just going to run the stock 235's for now. I wasnt looking for 9 inch wheels. I just came across a set I like. I think I will not end up getting them.

They should clear no problem with 235s, I wouldn't let the extra .5" in wheel width hold you back if you like em...18x9 is the perfect size for a performance setup IMO!

I've got 18x9.5 et 40. I'm slammed 23" FTG and my tires I believe are 235 45. They're stretched and my fenders are rolled. Would have rubbed immensely had I not rolled the fenders. Also any wider of a tire and they wouldn't work without raising the car.

I am on 18X9 ET35 at stock height and running 235/40/18's with no issues at all. With that said it is pretty tight up front on the inboard side so I am not sure how ET40's will clear. I have my winter wheels on now so I cannot check.

    Cheers,
    Jim
