I've recently brought an avant back to life 2001 tip 30v , it was down for 6 months I just got it , it was running well of course besides the usual slipping trans and its burns and leaks oh and bad cats

anyways passed inspection with some spacers but before I put them in the car would randomly misfire and fire on four cylinders still got it to pass with some trickery and luck (more luck)

I have no code reader but I pulled plugs and coils 2 and whatever is across from it and neither one of them fire , so I cut that pack out and rewired another one from the whole assembly I had before , I checked to make sure those worked before cutting them out and rewiring them into the pack that was currently on

started the car and nothing changed the problem was intermittent before and was increasing getting worse , started as a hiccup on idle , but now would stay rough for 15 miles (40 minutes of driving ) so even with the rewired pack its intermittent though I would say a little better and not so much a loss of power

it would still run normal sometimes so I know the wiring is good , any thoughts on what it could be ?
I'm getting a new pack this weekend so I'll rule that out after but if it's the same ...

I'm new to Audi but not new to cars , any help would be appreciated
