    Milltek Exhaust Rattle

I recently had a Milltek valvesonic (non-res) cat back installed and love it! I had it installed by a local Audi tuner shop and after a few days, I've developed a rattle. Additionally, if I run into any decent size speed bumps, I experience a bang. The noises seem to be located around the center of the car, between all of the seats.

I looked underneath and the exhaust appears to be sitting on the rear cross member. Is this normal? Any suggestions on a fix? Thank you!

    Milltek Exhaust Rattle

I just installed my milltek as well, and also noticed it sits right on that cross member. No rattles yet though. Seems if the DP'd were a hair shorter it'd be fine.

Audi dealer installed mine and had to modify the crossmember to make it sit properly. They pressed it using their machine press to make it lie flatter in the center where the exhaust pipes pass by. I also have not noticed any bangs or rattles, however I do get a moderate to strong vibration at 35-39mph with light throttle - not sure if this is a fitment issue or what, will be following up with dealer soon.

Took it back into the shop, the rattle was from the exhaust sitting on the crossmember. The tech put washers in between the crossmember and the frame to give it some more separation. No more rattles!
