Looking to Buy my first S8

The year I am looking at is 2007 to 2009. I was wondering if high miles is something I should worry too much about. Also, are there common problems I should worry about? I plan on doing all the maintenance at the house (or as much as I can since I still have my toolbox). In that vein, are there any special tools I should order from Snap On or Mac, etc. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Lastly, I am thinking about getting a Snap-On Modis for my wife's car. Are there any specific keys I should get for the S8?

I have a 2007 S8 for about a year now. Been a fantastic car so far. I can give you a few trouble areas(air suspension, carbon(very small), test all gadgets), but a much busier D3 forum is over at Audiworld. It's quite busy there

i would recommend going with 08-09 for the LED tail-lights. Make sure you dont hear any more than normal ticking; make sure the tranny operates well cuz the 6-speed is strong but not well liked; make sure you dont have any brake wobble. Everything is an expensive fix, so make sure you are ready for the upgrade.

The prefacelift has LED tails too. Just a different design
