Question White 2015 Audi S5 B8.5 with a bunch of mods APR, H&R, Magnaflow, Eurocode, etc.

Hello everyone. I have been a member for a bit but haven't posted anything about my car. I wanted to start a thread to discuss some of the mods I have done and my experience with them. The reason why is because I don't see many discussions regarding "some" of the mods I've done and found myself at a loss when deciding to move forward with them. I'm hoping sharing my experience with the mods will help others who might be looking to upgrade a bit too.

    Here is my current config:

    Alu Kruez (want to discuss)
Magnaflow X Pipe (want to discuss)
    H&R Coilovers (want to discuss)
034MOTORSPORT Transmission mount insert (ordered and will be installed this week)(want to discuss)
    APR Stage 1 ECU Tune
APR Stage 2 ECU Tune + Pulley
APR TCU Tune (want to discuss)
    APR carbon fiber intake
    15mm spacers in the rear
Gloss black powder coated S5 stock rims (soon to be upgraded to MRR FS01)
Neuspeed steel braided brake lines (coming soon)
H&R front & rear sway bars (coming soon) - DOES ANYONE HAVE THESE THAT GIVE ME AN OPINION?
    Magnaflow custom exhaust
Bunch of vinyl work (black and red highlights)
Full LED bulb upgrade including fog lights
    Window tint all around
    Dark tint on tail lights
Custom black badges all around (Audi, S5 and Supercharger all gloss black)

    A few custom ECU programs
    - remote opens windows / sunroof
    - disable headlight winking

Pics to follow once it stops raining and I can get some good shots.

Who has any of these mods below done and what is your opinion on them?

H&R front & rear sway bars (coming soon) need opinion on these

    Alu Kruez
    - Helps to feel more connected to the road. More control over steering and car stability but found it to creek a bit when there is body tension. Driveway at an angle etc. Any thoughts on this one?

    Magnaflow X Pipe
    - Just had it installed yesterday. Low end power loss which seems to be getting a little better as the ECU reconfigs itself after install. However, the mid range torque and HP has gone up a decent amount. Unfortunately I am having this removed as my car drones like crazy between 2500 & 3000. Getting a magnaflow muffler to replace it. http://www.magnaflow.com/products?pa...archTerm=11386

    H&R Coilovers
    - Ride quality is nice but I'm not digging the auto dampening. It bounces almost like springs would have, but taking hard turns and some sporty driving they do seem to help. Really wish I could adjust it under the hood like some of the others available but didnt want to drop another 800-1000 on them.

    034MOTORSPORT Transmission mount insert
    - Just ordered this yesterday for install later this week. Any comments on this one?

    APR TCU Tune
    - Haven't found much on this but I went for it and it definitely improved shift time and smoothness, RPM range, torque, & launch control all around. I think its overpriced honestly but the gains were better than the few reviews I can find on it. I'd price this at $499 to $599 but not $899. Anyone else do this?

I have a similar setup, as you can check my sig. The coilovers need to be paired with sway bars then you'll have a perfect setup. I would go with Eurocode sways over H&R as I find them nicer, and they are a bigger/thicker bar. The trans mount honestly I couldn't notice a difference on my DSG auto but it was just one more mod. For the exhaust you should have went with a full AWE tuning exhaust. My car also does make slight creak noises when entering my driveway that has a dip in it. I don't mind though because my car is quite low. I personally hate tinted tails as I think it 1. looks terrible and makes the car look dated/old, 2. safety risk in an accident/insurance.

Best mods I ever did was the coilovers paired with the sway bars. I believe I did every single mod possible outside of huge ticket items like the tune, upgraded cooling system, and one or two more obscure things.

Brozee... Thank you very much for your response! Nice setup. I'll have my guys grab the Eurocode sways instead. Did you do front and rear sways or just rear? I'll consider swapping the exhaust out... thank you for your input on that. Forgot to mention the escort max 2 as well. Definitely worth the $$. LOL about the tail light tint. I get so many questions and compliments on that. Often times pictures of it too. I'll post pictures soon. Did you notice a decent improvement in acceleration when you swapped out your wheels?

I highly suggest at the least an APR stage 1 ECU upgrade. Such a massive gain across the board.

I did the whole entire kit: Front + Rear sways, end links, and sway bar links. The Escort Max 2 works great, but right now every single detector, even valentine's V1 are all having crazy issues with the blind spot monitoring on new cars throwing our sensors off as the radar operates on the K band. So when you're driving next to a newer car more often than not when the detector goes off with a weaker signal of 3 bars or less, it is the car and an actual LEO (Law enforcement officer). The wheels made a Decrease in performance. 1. because the wheels are larger, and they are actually heavier I'm guessing than the stock OEM wheels. Still worth it to me as I love the look of my wheels and they only ran me $1k shipped for four wheels. Not as nice performance/weight wise as BBS or HRE's but I also have 1-2k in my pocket :)

For what it's worth every single upgrade I did on the car, I did and installed myself. So if you need help with anything at all please reach out to me. I didn't have a dealer or indy install/upgrade anything.

When I tune the car I'm going to go straight stage 2. Planning on doing that this summer as I have 36k on my car and the warranty ends this year for me.

    welcome

to chime in on the alu kruz, many has had great experience with them. I unfortunately did not. it really depends on ur driving style. taking tight turns and twisties, this will be for u. I live in NYC and I do mostly city driving barely going over 25 mph, and it was a complete waste. I notice no difference at all.

Before my AWE exhaust, I did MF x-pipe with MF exhaust. Sounded nice but drone drove me crazy. I replaced the x-pipe with a resonated x-pipe. That was better but it still had a bad drone in the cabin. I finally removed the res x-pipe and replaced it with the stock resonator. That eliminated the droning completely but the exhaust was quiet...almost stock. All this lead me to buy the AWE exhaust with Res down pipes off of a fellow ACLA member.
