    Some SRM RS4+ Logs

Logs taken at around 2500ft altitude
    SRM IC's
    SRM RS4+
    550cc EV14 Injectors
    034 85mm MAF maxed out
    91 oct

I hit 24 psi by 3300rpm but the car performed better running the boost more on a conservative side with the fuel used.

    Then with some tuning...

I didn't really have a completely flat place to log it. It did around 3.8~ fats all set and done where i was doing it. I reckon with good fuel it would be low 3 second fats. Ambient temp were about 60 deg, but as you can see it was a bit heat soaked. These turbos are great for a stock motor.

Find a flat spot I'd be curious to see how the accel holds beyond 4.5-5k compared to K04s.

I thought you had the larger turbos? Did you change it up?

This isn't my car. I'm going to be doing the full frame k24+'s.

I'm considering scrapping my idea of doing rods for my k24 set up and just throwing a set of these on and enjoying the near instant boost. Hmm...

Going to need to see some data to back up that claim.

No issues here with Flyboy. He holds people to a higher standard, and it does a good job of weeding out bunk information. For that, I'm thankful.

Sorry to have been so vague. I'd like something that spools quicker...

Lol - I think most people understood what I was getting at. It was implied that I would like something that spools quicker than my K24's.

I think between the F21 and RS4+ it's about a wash in that department, given the limited info I've seen on the SRM product.

A point that was made to me by one vendor is that the turbo market is somewhat limited in what to put into the RS4 units. I've lowered my hopes about seeing significantly different results between any of the offerings that stick with the RS4 K04 housing. Unless someone tries a K04 center with BB I doubt anything in the K04 housing will spool faster than the pjK04's.

One of our suppliers has offered a ball bearing variant for use with our turbos but I balked at the loss of stock fitment. But if you're simply that hung up on improving upon our already-fast MF21s, I could look into that for you, Jeff.

I'd be interest to hear more about that. Describing me as 'hung up' gives the impression there is no significant difference between a K04 hybrid like the F21 and a pjK04. From what I have observed the difference down low can be an extra 50-100 lb-ft with a k04 (over a limited rpm range), and to me that makes a tangible difference to how the car feels.

The biggest problem with comparing any of this stuff is the variables in data are a mess. Different car, dyno, road, weather, start of pull, tuning, fuel, hardware, etc etc the results end up so skewed. Not sure if a BB would make a huge difference in these small turbos, but a bb with light wheel/shaft weight and blade pitch could improve things I think. So could it be done, probably, but at what price point and would they sell enough to justify even messing with it.

No the biggest problem is that people still think that bigger then K04 turbos are laggy... They're not. No matter how much data that people want to "read" over. Just because you can hit 20 psi sooner on dinky turbos doesn't mean the car is quicker.

Well put. In fact the most rigorous testing work we did for the MixedFlow design was done on a 20v 1.8T engine. In that case we were able to control test conditions. But I'm hesitant to post such details here in a thread that the OP intended as a promotion for his own competing product.

To take that further, failure to adequately control the variables can lead to results that aren't good for making comparisons. The variables you list can be controlled, some more than others, though that seldom seems to be the case with comparison data presented on this forum. More samples will also help to reduce uncertainty with the results.
