We had never released one for all longitudinal motors. This is a kit we have confirmed will work with all 2.0T FSI engines where our previous version is for the transverse motors and only for select longitudinal models.

Looks exactly the same as the kit I bought that wouldn't work...

You probably bought the one for the transverse motor.

The oil pickup and possibly the windage tray would be slightly different for transverse vs longitudinal cars.

I have a kit I haven't put into my car yet. Is there any way to identify if I have the older one that won't work for the longitudinal application I have? I think I have the right one but not 100%

How does your kit control oil pressure? The 2.0 pressure is much lower than the 1.8t where the pressure is controlled in the oil filter housing which based on the picture isn't changed.

I haven't installed it yet. Still building the motor and long story short I got a sweet deal on a motor but it has a manual crank and I have a TIP car so I have to either rebalance everything and put in a tip crank or get this bushing some guy makes to center the torque converter. When the motor is ready it's going to have the oil pump but USP is bad at getting back to people. I contacted their email form, called and wrote in this forum and still no reply. I just need to know if the kit I have is their first kit that was technically made for the transverse motor and they figured out they had to change the windage tray, pickup and something else and then it flowed properly for the longitudinal motor . I need to know which one I have..

I don’t think the pump itself changes I personally run this setup and I have done a few things to keep good pressure. Having the proper pick up tube is first item Ull need. 2ndly you must have the hole drilled for the tensioner 100% correct which I suggest machine shop to do this to be exact. Then in all honesty I would reach out to issam@iabed and get his revision of the oil filter housing. Lastly I suggest this as I’ve done oh 5 different oils and a good number of tune revisions I’ve set idle up above 840 rpm (VCDS max limit I am at 880 rpm higher this year likely). I see now generally 20 psi mechanical gauge, 17 psi on electric gauge at hot idle and T6 oil in it 0w-40 or 5w-40 have recently found a race oil formula which will go in this spring too.

That is great advice. I'll make sure all of these things are taken care of.

There is a 60 dollar tool they sell to center the tensioner screw hole in the right spot. I was going to give it a go myself with a drill press and tap/die set but if it looks tricky when I have it all laid out I'll have it done by a machine shop.

I still haven't located the bushing for a manual crank motor to be installed to a TIP trans so I may end up having to get a TIP crank and have a shop rebalance my entire rotating assembly with another crank. Just trying to avoid that..

To reply to what you shared:
What do you mean by proper pickup tube? The kit comes with a pickup tube that has one inlet that points down and the tube is a straight looking pipe (pictured with the kit on the top of the thread). I've been told this tube and the plastic windage tray that is included is what is supposed to be used* If there is something else you know about leave a link and I'll check it out.

-Regarding the oil filter housing do you mean the $245 adapter plate to go from the 06A to 06F older style oil filter housing type?
    This setup?

There’s 2 different tubes, they should have sold you the correct one.

For oil filter housing you’ll need to call Iabed industries (http://www.iabedindustries.com), ask to speak with issam, tell him your looking for the oil filter housing to use on your Fsi 2.0T. It’s another unit he is sourcing for our platform. I use the IE adapter (no longer available) I also would not trust anything other then Issam oil filter housing unit if I were to do it again.
