At this point i'm looking to have my whole clutch changed at a trusted Indy. In doing so I need to source all the parts myself but I'm having trouble finding all the parts I need. If someone could provide me with a list or lead me in the right direction of sourcing all the parts needed/recommended it would be greatly appreciated!! Any input on parts that should be changed while the clutch is apart would be awesome too! Thanks
Are you going with an OEM clutch or upgrading?
Make sure you replace things like axle bolts, flex plate bolts, and pressure plate bolts because they are torque to yield and not reusable.
Check FCP euro for parts, they have good prices and carry a lifetime warranty.
You'll need the following:
-throw out bearing, clutch disc and pressure plate kit (Sachs is a good oem supplier)
-possibly a new dual mass flywheel if yours is worn out (I didn't replace mine at 65k when I did mine)
-flex plate bolts
-axel bolts
-pressure plate bolts (should come with your kit)
I'm sure I'm missing stuff but that is axel decent start.
I'd be interested to know what the cause is of your issue. When I did mine it turned out that about 1/3 of the spring steel fingers that are depressed by the throwout bearing ended being bent causing the pressure plate not release the clutch disc.
