Northern Virginia, Maryland, DC area touchless carwash directory

Hi all,

Because i do not have a garage, I usually use a touchless (basically a water sprayer) carwash in the colder months to keep the car somewhat clean.

I understand that this is less than ideal, as carwashes typically do recycle the water used, and the filtration quality is variable depending on maintenance frequency. And obviously gets less contaminates off compared to a quality 2bucket handwash.

But it is what it is. I do have a beater truck so i dont drive the m3 in snow or when there is alot of salt on the roads.

I would like to compile a list of touchless carwashes in our area, (since the ones attached to gas stations are difficult to online search for) with your help.

I typically use:

The Sunoco station at National Harbor

The shell station on Rt 1 and Fordson road in hybla valley.

Great idea...i have a garage, but i think some days it will still be too cold to do a proper 2-bucket wash, so a quick spray to get the salt off will come in handy.

There is a self wash in Sterling right near 45635 Shepard Dr. I cant find the exact address since I dont remember the name, but that address is literally right next door to it. There is an actual car wash at the same location with a self wash a few yards away behind the address I listed. Go there and you'll see it.

Also, of note on the brushless wash places. Make sure to designate whether it has moving conveyors or tracks the wheels have to go in. Years ago I went to a "touchless" wash and waited in line only to find I had to go into tracks that guide the car when I got to the front and they damaged my wheels.

The Parkway Express in Newington/Springfield, VA has a touchless car wash. It's on Loisdale Road. Down the street from the mall.

lol i saw all kinds of reviews saying this, so i prepped for the worst when i went there. Nobody was waiting, so i took my damn time with the sonax haha. even applied H20 guard and gloss to the whole car before moving out of the bay lmao!! he walked by and gave me a look. i ignored it, as i was the only one using any of the bays.

The link was broken, but I believe this Flagship is the one on 355? There is another on Shady Grove Road that's not self wash, but is very good, and has a bunch of guys to vacuum before and dry the car after. It is rail guided, but I really can't remember now whether it's touchless or not.

The Exxon at East Randolph and Old Columbia road in Silver Spring is also touchless.

Yeah, it's an epoxy floor. I wash year round inside and just crack the garage door in the winter to shed the water. A little squeegee action after to remove any standing water.

darn! oh well... i like self washes haha. sonax + powerwash, then bring it home and soap and mitt, dry it up and clay bar + wax. recently got h2o guard and gloss too... add that at the end. love it.

Great car wash
But not touchless

The one use in Reston is the one next to Home Depot on baron Cameron
Touchless, and they have brushes you can use before the car wash for the wheels
I also use the brushes to clean the exhaust tips before I take it in for the wash
