Is it just my car or has anyone else noticed...

The last few days ive been hauling some pretty heavy stuff in the back of my S4, i dont know if its my suspension setup but the car seems to handle much better over bumps and around corners when its loaded down. With the engine being infront of the front wheels and the weight distribution being about 70:30 im inclined to beleive its more than just all in my head, the weight almost acts like balast.

    Thoughts?

Yes this seems to be true. I saw a track car build thread where this was done to significantly improve balance

so... simply install smaller tire width in back and softer springs and you should see vast improvement in handling at the cost of goofy look....

Yup, 034 put a fair amount of ballast in the rear of their B5 A4 time attack car.
