Has anyone changed from black optics?

I have a phantom black (black optics) S6 high gloss black RS wheels and might sound stupid but really thinking about going back to chrome window trim and standard grill. (No side badges at the moment). Honestly love black cars but car is so blacked out it needs some more contrast, the small amount of high polish aluminum/chrome around the edge of the wheels is not enough. Could not find the price of the chrome window trim, though found a bunch for going black optics. Is there an aftermarket company to buy from?

On the other hand thinking of just staying black and going RS grille.

I agree, too much black cheapens the car, it's nice to see some aluminum trim or chrome accents here and there.

I'd be willing to swap you my chrome for your black optics window trim. That is if its not a complete nightmare to remove?

I put the matte aluminum S6 mirror covers (from the non black optic package) on my black optic S6 to break it up some. I also left all my chrome badging on the car for the same reason (I never understood the debageing phenomena anyway). I did go with the RS grill which makes the car look so much meaner.

Where did you pick up your matte aluminum side view mirrors and RS grill? Curious as I may do these mods to my A6 when it gets here. Sharp looking car my friend. Thanks!

I had the dealer put the mirror covers on when I bought the car. I got the RS grill from Europrice.

    Good move on the grill.
My S7 will be in port (San Diego) at the end of this week. Ordered mid September and hopefully in my garage in a few more weeks.
I just picked up the RS7 grill and agree, it really makes the S7 stand out!!
Consider a tune, slight lowering, minimal spacers, drilled rotors and painted calipers. Not crazy expensive options that will move the look up to a whole new level.
It's a "gentleman's speed car" without looking "pimped."
