So i've been doing my best googling over the last few days but nothing I've come across has any solid answers... Im almost positive that my issue is electrical wiring problem but here we go...
I was driving with my cruise on at about 85km/h when suddenly my cruise control shut it self off and my EPC and traction control lights came on... i noticed a huge loss in power almost like i had no turbo at all. roads where wet but not soaked and it wasn't raining. So i parked it and left it for a day frozen in a snow bank, fired it up no issues, cruise was back all the lights were gone.
I scanned it and the faults where there and cleared them, they didn't come back and i relearned the steering angle too. I did the output test on the throttle position sensor and at full throttle one of the banks only read a max of about 78% and lower value was about 17% seemd odd... I took it for a hard drive (really hard) and the problem didn't come back and my power was all there. today i drove it again and from cold start the issue was back... the car was wet but not soaked again it wasn't raining but cold.
Some people are saying my O2 sensor shorted and ruined my ECM but i feel as i could clear the codes and the problem went away that this is not the case... I am not sure however if the Throttle position sensor is the issue either, as it is intermittent. Im going to test the wiring from this cut out here http://mtroxel.com/audi/p2138.pdf although it is for a B5 platform... I've done a visual check my O2 wiring and all seemed OK. It says failure of the pedal is very rare and its more likly to be the ECM... anyone with solid information welcome I'm at a loss ad want a Golf R...
