Anyone running a BSR Sportflow exhaust in a B7 ?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I searched but got few results, has anyone fitted one of these to a B7 ? Seems like one of the only locally sourced systems in Australia with an on-line presence and a good price compared to importing others from the US,sadly for me our $ is shite now to yours just as I'm doing up my ride cheers

I have BSR stage 3 on my car which was done very early, like 7 years ago, in fact it might even be my car that is on those pics. ^^ Sedans are quite rare here, red ones even rarer.

Anyhow, that exhaust is being sold under many names as someone commented already. I like it, not too loud not too quiet. But if you get it make sure it's mounted correctly - mine rattles abit. Seems to be of good quality also - has around 80.000 km on it + at least 6 snowy winters. Still looks great.

Good info, thanks,my post above indicates two models in the US ? and it just might be your car in that photo, funny.Swedish origins too.BSR have so much tuning gear inc tuning files, hardware etc,we're all spoiled for choice .Is there any noticeable drone at cruising:2/2500 RPM ? That would drive anyone insane.

Your car must go hard with that tune and what comes with it...How many K's now and how is the engine handling it after 7 years ?

yeah, sorry 80K's,is that in total ?, mines done 130k now and is in pristine condition, motor wise esp.....I can see this car lasting another 200K like our Saab 9/5 which our son drives has done 360k with 7k oil services-no engine related issues

I had the car for 3½ years now, the previous owner fixed this like 3-4 year before that. The car has a total of 105.000 km on it now.

I don't think the stage 3 tune is that good - its good between 3000 and 5000 rpm and mostly blows outside of those rpm's. Most of the torque seems to be available at the lower end of that - the clutch was slipping when i bought the car and it has not been drag raced - think previous owner has floored it at too low rpm's too many times.

As for durability of the engine - these power levels is not a problem for these engines, should be ok. I have noticed anything yet.

Cool, thanks for engaging, its hard to be objective with stuff like this and I can't compare your tune with my APR stage 1,but when buying sound equipment, the sales guy has a remote to instantly compare different speaker systems, you just know what you like.
Not so with tuning levels of cars, exhaust sound systems etc ,we mostly have to go on opinions and maybe get sometimes disappointed...its nearly impossible to compare unless you know someone with exactly the same car ,so your comments are appreciated...
As for your clutch, your previous owner probably rode it at traffic lights or did what you suggested-I've seen ppl doing it,makes me cringe.

BSR especially is hard to compare to others, since they are a swedish company with business mostly in the nordic countries - but also seem to be big in AU/NZ?

I would also love to compare it to others...somehow. Like this for instance:

Yeah they have a local seller here in Sydney. Just easier and cheaper to get the stuff they have and its very good quality from my experience (Tune, PCP, exhaust and HFC).

I'm interested about any drone at cruising 2 to 2500 rpm, does it sound like stock then or does it drone ? My balls will be on the bar b que if it does ! Haha. How would you describe the note on hard acceleration ? as loud as a WRX ? ( hopefully NOT ! ) To add confusion, these systems sold under MOTOTEC in the US have a touring and sport model.Do you know which you might have ? thanks

kingDL,had a look just then, luckily they have an English version of their WSite.Looks like good quality tuning equipment,I'll study up on it...
As to BSR in Oz,google really only throws up them and APR.I guess if I start looking at Golfs ,there would be other suggestions for tuning but of course the exhausts wont fit.
