P0333 Knock sensor 2 (G66) Signal too high - Intermittent **WTF?**

Somebody had this fault on his car already? Could not found anything relevant with GOOGLE.

Fault will appear and disappear from itself after running around 100 mile but could come back again.
Wiring looks good. Changed my spark plugs and they were gapped at 0.030 (for stage 2)
Suspecting a bad MAF sensor (bad fuel trim), the N80 valve or the knock sensor itself.
    Any idea?
    Thanks!

I have not checked that. I finally decided to get an appointment Monday with a garage specialized with VW/AUDI cars.
They will check and give me a quote...

Not sure why you would suspect anything but the knock sensors themselves. Sounds like they are the culprit. They aren't that expensive, buy one and swap it out with each one until it goes away.

I Changed the sensor twice (had to remove the entire intake manifold) and issue is still there. Was torqued at 15 ft-lb and still no luck.

There are two of them. Did you also check the wiring for damage?

Yes I did and also run new wires from the ecu to the sensor. G66 is the sensor close to the firewall. The only way to get rid of the MIL is to bolt the (spare) sensor in the lower portion of the tranny; just enough vibration there and of course no knock detected. This is my temporary fix until the garage find my problem
