Lower Control Arm Bushing Leaking Oil

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hello All, I've owned many VWs (mostly TDIs) and this is my first Audi. I was replacing the brakes, and put a jack stand on the lower control arm bushing (the aluminum control arm where it attaches to the frame) and as I was releasing pressure from the jack, and lowering it onto the jack stand, oil started coming out of the bushing. I immediately jacked the car back up and the oil leak stopped. Should I now be concerned that I ruined the bushing? Are these some sort of hydraulic bushings? Thank you for any help!

Total oil that came out was less than a cap full

You should not jack the car up on the arm, or the bushing, it is not designed for the weight of the car. Sounds like you damaged the liquid filled inner bushing.
Only the outer few inches of the lower straight arm, between the shock/spring mount and the outer ball-joint is designed to hold the weight of the car.
