    Dash Warning Lights

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Last night, right after I started the car, my dash warning lights (in the little cutout above the speedo/tac/DIS looked like it went thru some sort of a check

Each warning flashed for about a second --- each one individually---- and then it was done and everything was fine.

Anyone seen this? Was it just some sort of self check?

Guess I'll have to hook up the VAG and see what's up.

I've never seen that happen. I had an odd thing once, early last year, where I started the car and the gas pedal didn't work. I pressed it over and over and nothing happened. Restarted the car and haven't seen the issue since.

A scan is a good idea to see if you see any faults, to make sure it isn't just a freak one time thing.

Did you happen to hit the set button. it should trigger an auto check sequence if you aren't moving.
