    Is This A Reasonable 2016 RS7 Deal?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey guys. First post in this forum and I've been doing a considerable amount of reading over the last few days......thanks for all the great threads. So I'm seriously considering a 2016 RS7 that would be built to my specifications. Here is the deal that I've been offered.

    2016 RS7 MSRP for my build.............................$119,075.00
    Selling price............................................. .......$114,312.00 (4% discount)
    After taxes and fees.........................................$119, 158.00
    Trade-in (my 2013 RS5 with 20K miles)...............$48,000.00
Rebates (I assume this is Audi loyalty)................$1,500.00
My total out of pocket cash................................$69,658.00

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Please let me know if there are any other programs or discounts available.

    Thanks!

Any way for you to find out what invoice price is for your build? MSRP is irrelevant when determining a good deal. Try to replicate your build on Edmunds.

At 4% off sticker you are definitely not getting ripped off. Good job negotiating. My local dealership is passive aggressively offended when asked for any sort of discount. So, the value proposition is whether or not it's worth $70K out of your pocket plus your beloved RS5 in order to own an RS7. Having no idea how much dropping $70K and having nothing to show for it except swapping cars affects your lifestyle, it's hard to answer your question because I have no idea what trade offs you are making.

There are many folks on this board who excel at negotiating commodity prices and they might be able to provide insight.

    I have ordered a MY2016 RS7 from a dealership in the US.
I don't believe that the RS7 (or the R8) qualifies for any
Audi USA corporate incentive (including Loyalty) at this
    time.

From an Audi's dealer website, here is the latest list of
Audi models with any sort of incentives:

    Current Incentives and Rebates
You love incentives. We love incentives. Everyone loves incentives. Check out the current incentives
that can save you money on a new car right now. We are continually getting the latest and greatest
incentives straight from Audi – and they will show up immediately right here. This is the best way to
make sure you are saving money on the purchase or lease of a new car. As with most incentives, they
are always changing, so make sure you are checking back often to see the best deals we have to offer.

Yes, this is a solid deal.

3-4% off a custom build RS7, especially yours, which doesn't appear to be heavy with options, is about as well as you are going to do.

Your trade number seems to be pretty much right in line with the value of your trade, give or take a few grand (without knowing precisely what options you might have).

The incentives are correct, assuming you are using Audi Financial Services.

So yeah, it's a solid deal. Go ahead and hit that.

Thanks for the help guys. This was the build request that I sent him. I'm still not sure what the extra $1500 was for but I'll take it.

    • Mythos Black Metallic (May go Daytona Grey)
    • Black RS sport seats
    • Carbon fiber inlays
    • 21" sliver finish wheels
    • Driver assistance package
    • Matte Aluminum optic package WITHOUT quattro badge
    • RS7 Dynamic package
    • Power closing doors
    • Rear side airbags
    • Delete license plate mount

*I would also want to get the silver exhaust outlets that come on RS7s without the sport exhaust.

This would be the general look but with a drop, spacers and a APR tune.

The $1500 is a $1,000 loyalty bonus and a $500 incentive if you utilize Audi Financial Services as your lender.

In the "Quattro" quaterly magazine for AoA members there are dealers that advertise a 6% discount from the MSRP price on a new vehicle or a CPO vehicle,
for AoA members plus any other incentives that Audi might be offering on your specific model without any back and forth.
This sounds better than the 4% you are being offered.

6% automatic discount for being Audi Club North America member doesn't apply to RS models or R8.

Gotta talk to Garrett. He's always moved the most off msrp and I've worked all dealerships over the years.

Audi of Frederick gave me 9% off a RS7 they had sitting in the showroom for awhile. I believe they recently sold it. I didn't want it.

Well, I applaud you for that. I've been working them mostly on certified vehicles, trying to get a lay of the land. I suppose when I am ready to actually pull the trigger I will have a little more leverage, but 9%...that's pretty much what invoice on these cars, depending on optioning.

No, i mean the margin on new ones is basically 8-9%, depending on optioning. At least from everything I have been able to find online...certainly doesn't mean that is true.
