    Folks,

Been digging around the forums for a few months while I waited for delivery of my 2016 A6 TDI. Took delivery Oct 31. Was disappointed by the TDI scandal over the summer and to find out my car was part of it days after delivery. I however really enjoy the TDI and seems like it should be a minor software fix for the 3.0 with no impact on performance or mileage.

This is my first Audi and diesel. I remember test driving an A4 back in the early 2000's I think, it was a 2.8 manual. I thought it was amazing.

It's a Glacier White Metallic Progressiv package with S-Line and Sport Suspension as options. Enjoying it greatly so far. Put some Pilot Alpin PA4s on for the winter with the OE 19s. I've ordered 20" HRE FF01 wheels that'll go on after winter, likely with MPSS. Also picked up roof bars and a fork mount bike holder, thinking about a Thule Sonic box in the spring. Car had 3M Pro Series applied to full hood, front bumper, headlights, b-pillars, trunk lip and a-pillar across roof line to top of c-pillar along with Cquartz Finest this week.

On to the pics....the last one is a photoshop with the FF01s.

I love the A6 TDI. I've gotten the chance to drive it multiple times when my car in service. Did you get comfort seats?

Don't think Canada has an option called Comfort Seats. There is a Multi-contour Front Seats Package that was only an option on the Teknik trim level when I bought. That package includes 14-way power front seats, front seats memory, valcona leather and massage for front seats. Whereas I have 8-way power front seats, 4-way lumbar (driver only), driver seat memory and standard leather.

I just picked up my 2014 A6 TDI today - Daytona Gray with Black Optics. I'm actually thinking about selling my 20" Black Optic wheels and switching to 19" wheels. Let me know if you're interested din selling yours.

    Congrats!!

I put winter rubber on the 19s and will use them as my winter set. So won't be selling them. Why switch to 19s?

Beautiful! Mine is similar, '14 A6 Prestige TDI - Glacier white, black interior and headliner, tint glass (its something like 30% if I recall correctly), sport package, LED's... pretty much everything except the B&O sound. I too bought the racks for paddle-boards and installed a hitch mount for the Thule bike rack. Somewhere in the C7 forum is a post I did wiht the hitch mount... pretty clean and hardly noticeable.

I dont personally see much issue with the TDI in this car going forward, most likely software update to put the engine on its "best behavior" environmentally at all times. Its a rather ingenious hack anyway, and Ill probably DPF delete the car after the warranty is over (that or APR tune it). The TDI really is a nice engine - loads of power and quite efficient. Enjoy the ride, it looks nice!

Just thinking about 19s as they are a bit more forgiving. I'll live with the 20s for a while and see how it goes.

Loving the Glacier White, I think it'll look sharp in the summer. I'll look for your thread, curious on what your hitch looks like. Though I'll be fine with the roof rack. It seems to be a simple software fix, I've had some letters from Audi. Should be no impact on performance. The compensation sucks though especially if you have Audi Care like I do.

    Thanks!

Yeah it blows my mind, first diesel. I loved seeing 1010 km for range a couple fill ups ago. Dying to take it on a long road trip!

That's true, do you have 35 sidewalls? But man, I've seen the OE 20s on the car in person a few times and I think that size suits it best. It's a bigger car that can handle 20s without looking odd. Can't wait to get mine on.

Not too bad looking. I likely wouldn't do that, but understand the functionality aspect of doing it for sure.

I'd love to have your snow, got a new Toro Snowmaster 724qxe in the garage waiting to be used. We're not getting any snow!!! Only had a couple centimetres here and there all winter so far.

did you ever end up adding a thule box to your A6? i have one from my old avant, and thought about mounting it (can't use it on my wife's 4runner b/c the tailgate can't fully open with the box in-place and moved fully forward on the rails) but don't know how it'll look on the roofline. haven't seen many so was hoping you might have pics

    hope you're enjoying the TDI!

OP hasn’t logged onto the forum in over 3.5 years so you may not hear back. One of the dangers of reviving old threads. Of course someone else on the forum may post a pic in response.
