You're an Audi Expert If You Can Identify This Part

    Happy new year!

For the life of me, from the picture attached, I am trying to identify the part name / number for the large black round cover plate attached with 3 cap nuts that sits in between the two mufflers for a 2007 A4.

Mine has fallen off, half of it was ripped off while driving and a part number is no longer visible.

If you're able to successfully identify this part, you'll get my vote for an Audi Expert!

    Thank you!

I believe, amongst other parts, it holds the charcoal canister which allows you refuel your car without having to hold the fuel nozzle at from the pump the whole time.

Before EVAP systems, there was just a hole to let air escape while you filled your tank. But that let unburned hydrocarbons into the atmosphere. Unburned hydrocarbons are bad for all of us. So EVAP keeps most of them in the fuel system....but when it doesn't work right you can't fill your tank as a couple others have mentioned.
