C5 Allroad door blades (Need advice on install)

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey i looked around the forums and have seen that the allroad blades are direct fits on narrow body sedans. I have seen on a post that you have to cut off the tabs at the bottom of the doorblades. Just want clarification before i cut off the tabs. Can somebody shed some light on this issue. I can get the tabs lined up with the holes on the door but the tabs wont push in the door and slide in to the left. If i cut the tabs off will it slide right on in|? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Lol thanks. Didnt want to cut it off and realize i had to screw it in from the bottom. I am goin to cut it off asap. I always get all my DIY's and info from this website but i just signed up today. Im glad i did because that response was pretty damn fast. Nice car btw. Its rare to find wagon c5's up here. The aluminium mirror caps would look nice too but im guessing its really hard to find some. I did see some carbon fibre ones on ecstuning for less than 200. Figured I'd share. Thanks again tho.

Going to work on getting some pictures up once its cleaned. What do you guys think about allroad headlights? My car is a pre-facelift sedan. I understand it is apparently a good upgrade? For the same price I was about to pay for really clean prefacelift headlights, I can possibly get the allroad headlights. Is there a significant difference between the 2 or is the allroad just blacked out? Again any advice is appreciated.

I was actually thinking about wrapping the mirror caps and saving myself $200 bones. I just have to find the correct matching aluminum wrap, I have an aluminum that does not match and then I have an almost chrome mirror which is a bit to shinny for my liking.

I cant answer your headlight question but I don't think the allroad fits on the pre facelift version but then I could be wrong, in many instances you can just polish it out to like new...

    You're heading in right direction.
If you can get allroad headlights, just go for it.Direct swap with way better lenses,it is really an upgrade that you'll notice.

Some people like it, others say its too much chrome or it doesnt look good on narrow body. I say do whatever you like and if you dont like the look, get normal doorblades, or you can get the RS doorblades which are the same I believe, except they are painted. I picked mine up for 165.
