Different trims, engines, Recaros, licence plate surrounds, plastic bumpers on 2.7ts. What else is different between the USDM C5 and the European market C5?

A million things. Think of it like a restaurant.
The Europeans got a 'buffet' where they could basically go get whatever they want and walk away.
What we got is like a cafeteria lunch menu. They had a few colors, half a dozen options that were ALREADY ON THE CAR (or not) NO CHANGES and NO SUBSTITUTIONS. From what I've seen, over the ocean you could get nearly any engine and trans combo in nearly any body style and add options from there. There are some threads in the 'Avants Only' forum where Euros have bought literally brand new "S" or "Rs" looking cars with 6 speed and 2.5- 3.2L diesel engines.
From the Outside you see what looks like ..say a B7 Rs4..but it's a diesel. And the dealer sells it that way. This seems more common in other chassis, but probably possible in the C5 too if you cared enough.

All true. A good chunk of my family lives in Europe and I rarely see C5s in as high spec as the US models.

    Different Models e.g. 2.4, 1.9, 2.0, 1.8T, S6 Saloon, etc.
Sedans are Saloons and Avants are Estates
There was a RS6+ in Europe
Headlight switch has a fog dial
    Dual Rear Fogs
    Daytime fogs
    Kmph on the Tachometer
    Temperature in Celsius
    Number Plate Holder
    Wheels
    Trim
    Left Hand Drive differences
    ECU
    TCM Coding
Knee Panel has a Cubby Hole
Glove Box has Insurance Clip/ Cup Holders
    Mirrors (Aspherical)
Optical Black Exterior Window/ Door Trim
    Headlights (No Amber)
    Tail Lights
    Bumpers
    Under Seat Storage
    Recaro Seats
    Color Options
    Door Cards
    Any more?

I'm sure there's more, but this is all I know
I'd like some RS6 Champion GT Series parts more than I want Saloon parts.

Which two buttons? There's still KMPH on the tachometer itself that remains unchangeable.

Top recirculation button and plus on driver temperature setting.
You can code the cluster itself in soft coding but yes faces will still indicate MPH or KPH and to sort that out they should be swapped.

Fog dial? Front and rear fogs are controlled by the headlight switch on all models, if you mean the extra retostat dial next to the dimmer that was actually for headlight leveling on RoW models equipped with halogen lights.

No such thing, all C5 models have a signal rear fog wired and a blank on the opposite side. The wired fog is always on the drivers side.

Not European, clusters were spec'ed to the market so US and UK got mph and everyone else kph.

Not really "European", more like "not American".

You are right about the rear fogs because my c5 only had one on driver side. Weird thing is, my friend had a 2004 a6 avant that was wrecked, and i pulled the bulb harness for the fogs out of his and bam

Both lights came to life! I still dont understand why my model didnt have one and his a6 had both bulbs?

Aren't C5's Saloons in Germany, Italy, Asia, Mexico, etc.?

Fog dial? Front and rear fogs are controlled by the headlight switch on all models, if you mean the extra retostat dial next to the dimmer that was actually for headlight leveling on RoW models equipped with halogen lights.

Yes, I did mean the extra dial next to the headlight switch, thanks for the correction.

No such thing, all C5 models have a signal rear fog wired and a blank on the opposite side. The wired fog is always on the drivers side.

I have a Saloon Number Plate Holder on my A6 that has both fogs wired, I thought this was standard overseas, or places other than America.

Not European, clusters were spec'ed to the market so US and UK got mph and everyone else kph.

So, the cluster I want is not from the US or UK.

Not European perse, lots of other countries besides the UK are also LHD.

I regards to what's "European," I think I may be generalizing/ not being 100% exact and I think Europe consists of much more than just the UK.

Not really "European", more like "not American".

I guess you're right, all the things I listed are just "Not American."

I have been trying to find out the differences between american C5's and the rest of the worlds.'

Sounds like you may know some more Non-Amercan C5 features? I'd love to know more, considering I do not know much- Just trying to learn more and interested in this particular subject.

    Thanks

Some have dual rear fog, it's not as clear as MY or anything like that though. I have KM/H only RS cluster and it's the bees knees.

My rs6 came with dual rear fogs and I did a retrofit in my 2000 A6 to have dual rear fogs which is not hard to do.
