Anyone know what this piece is from?

Popped my hood a few minutes ago just to look around after the 35k service and this little plastic piece with what looks to be a gasket was sitting right above my grill where you release the hood to open.

Doesn't look to be missing from anywhere that I can see, and it weighs almost nothing. Feels like something that was removed from a filter or something that was replaced with the servicee.

Just to make sure it's not important, does anyone know where this could have come from? No ideas

Shoot - can't attach from my phone. Pretty sure it's the dip stuck dummy plug. Sorry for the quick fire thread post!

Hmmmm, tech forgot the dipstick plug? Don't they run poorly when the crankcase is not sealed?
Good thing they don't remove drain plugs anymore....or at least sawzall a giant hole in the belly pan.

Ran normal on the way home (12 miles) from the dealership. Haven't been to the car since this morning, figured I'd pop the hood and check out the bay. I should have spent more than 3 seconds looking for the missing plug and inserted it. Should be fine though, there's A full quota of Motul 8100 xcess sitting in there now.

that is why I open my hood after service. BEFORE I leave dealership, in my case to check that dipstick has been replaced.
