Question for those who have or have had Vdo boost gauge

When I come into boost, I hear a wierd noise coming from my boost gauge. It's like.....a springy crunch type noise (best explanation I can give). That being said, it seems to be accurate in terms of readings. Is this normal for vdo? I'd like to switch to an electronic gauge, but priorities take front of the line for the time being

boost line hooked up with no leaks? perhaps you could try an anti-buzz T-fitting where you tap the boost gauge line into the vacuum line.

No leaks and am already using an anti buzz fitting

Hmmm, surely there's a remedy for this

That's what I wanted to hear, well not what I WANTED but tells me there's something up with my gauge. As I stated, it seems it's reading accurately, but it's annoying

    They do that.

Never tried, but have seen it mentioned that putting one of the clear plastic fuel filters (like on a lawnmower or motorcycle) in the boost line can help.
I think the added volume smooths out the pressure pulses or something like that.
There are only 2 things needed to make an Audi work properly - Duct tape and WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't - Duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should - WD40.

I'm fairly positive it's coming from the gauge. I think I have a ff for a weedeater in my garage. May give that a whack

My VDO boost gauge (5+ years old) makes a weird metallic ringing kind of noise every time the pressure becomes rapidly more negative. Say it's at 5 in. Hg and I quickly adjust the throttle so it's at 10 in. Hg, the metallic ringing noise occurs during the transition. Happens when coming off of boost too.
Does this sound like something anyone else experiences?

I'd say that's consistent with what I'm experiencing. Quick transitions in and out of boost
