Audi windshield saved my life! Glass clean - up

I was merging onto the highway. As a big chunk of ice/ snow flew off the back of an 18 wheeler. I saw it hang in the air for about two seconds, than SMASH. Hit my windshield!!! Had to pull over to the brake down lane.

With glass ALL over my car, and inside of my vents/light switch. I wanted peoples opinion on if they think the dash will have to be removed!!?? If so, is there anything worth changing when/IF they decide to remove it!!

*note* this is ALL glass not snow or ice

My insurance is paying to have the full dash removed, and vacuumed.

Can anyone think of anything I should have replaced that is under the dashboard?!! Heater core components?

I can see this being the cause of a lot of accidents to come. Unfortunately... People don't like to clean off their cars.

holly fuck! Are you alright? That's pretty damn bad, it's all covered with glass, going to be a bitch to clean up. I say gonna have to remove dash for sure as a windshield vent is probably full of glass particles. Last thing you want is to turn on the fan and that shit flying into your eyes. Was your windshield OEM?

Windshield was in FACT OEM. (Hope they replace it with OEM)

Wasn't wearing glasses, or sunglasses.
I just kind of squinted, and put my head down. When I realized it was going to hit. I was wearing a hat though.

Reacted timely I guess I had a similar experience where a huge branch broke off a tree and hit my windshield while going 65mph. Obviously destroyed windshield, although it didn't shatter into million peices and scattered all over interior, bent pillar and roof, after it fell off a brand new pathfinder ran over it and ruined his transmission. Thankfully wasn't in my S4.

The dashboard is being removed.
