milltek no longer supporting B5 S4

So, I have had a hell of a time sourcing a new exhaust for the casavant.

I caught a flash sale at ECS and got a great deal, so I ordered HFC downpipes and a resonated dual exhaust. I got a call from ECS immediately saying that they could no longer source the DPs except piggies, so i went ahead with my order for just the exhaust, to mate up to my 3" current DPs.

Just a couple days ago I got notified (a month after my order) that Milltek simply isn't making parts for us anymore.

I figured I should fill people in so they know. It seems that most of their distributors aren't filled in yet either, but I called Milltek to confirm and it seems to be true based on the conversation I had with Customer Service.

Thas unfortunate, i love my milltek exhaust

Knowing the downpipes with high flow cats xost $2699 thats probably part of the reason. You can get a dif set for around $1000

That's why i was hoping to get it at the sale price! :-)

Such is life. I'm gonna just have a good local muffler shop adjust, re-hang and see what they can do to address the drone in the wagon.

From what I've heard (and personally experienced) drone in the avant is inevitable because the trunk area acts as a huge resonator and since it is part of the cabin, the drone is more prevalent. Makes sense, because when I have a full load in the trunk the drone is significantly reduced.

I just turn the volume up on the stereo lol. But drone is only noticeable around ~2700 rpm.

I'd count that as a blessing, those downpipes look like they wouldn't flow any better than stock, I'd go with auto speed downpipes if your going to be spending that much money

They definately might not flow as well as other aftwrmarket options but they flow a hell of alot more then stock

Thats just an insane price for something that probably flows as well as piggie pipes. The ASP pipes are 3" mandrel all the way to the exhaust.

200 cpi vs stock cat. I thought stock was 400 cpi.

The Milltek looks more flow friendly to me.
