Ok guys some may have noticed Im building a supercharged engine.. I have a broken camshaft.
I told myself when I bought the supercharger if I blew it up Id build it back BULLETPROOF
But heres the thing thats not so easy if I start getting Aftermarket parts sleeves and pistons its not gonna run like a EVERYDAY audi should.
cold weather hot weather short trips long trips…
And here is something else I want----> THE SAME ENGINE!
I don't know what I like about the 3.0 engine but I love the way it feels prolly has a lot to do with the stroke vs bore cylinder compression and Hp/liter.
HEY 3.0 is not big! this IS a high strung motor if it were a 6.0 v-12 it would be 440 Hp daily driven naturally aspirated AUDI!
show me a chevy 350 that can do that.
But then Im supercharging it lol I wanna keep the same compression ratio bore and stroke and day to day performance so I need FACTORY audi parts
The idea is a 2.8 block with 3.0 crank and 3.0 heads my bore and stroke will be the same but what about compression ratio
Or I could do a 2.7 block (4 bolt main) bored to 82.5 with 2.8 pistons or 3.0 pistons (heard they were weak but aren't they the same?) 3.0 crank and heads.
GUYS IM SEROUIS IM LOOKING AT A BRAND NEW 2.8 Short block right now… If anyone can help me get Accurate information Please help.
