2009 A4 DIY Brakes and rotors change

So, I've never been one to DIY any service on my car and after having just had my oil changed at the dealership and being told that my brakes and rotors needed replacement, I was quoted over $850 on the repair before tax. Needless to say, I'm aware that going the DIY avenue can be infinitely cheaper than going the dealership route and I'd personally like to not have to spend upwards of $800 on this maintenance item.

After having browsed ECS, I have found this brake set and was wondering if you all had any tips on what brakes and rotors to get and any tips regarding the process itself.

I've viewed several videos on Youtube and it doesn't seem like this is a very complicated job at all.

No idea about the set, but doing the job is real easy. No special tools other then a vagcom is used, since you need it to reverse the rear parking break engine.

Any recommendations on a vagcom to get?

Most people recommend the real deal from Ross tech. Its pricy but genine I use a chinese copy, ebay search vcds.
