    MMI screen doesn't stay open

I didn't have this issue when I first got the car but just recently noticed that when I open the MMI screen it folds open and closes right away, barely leaving any time to insert/take out an SD card.
Anyone know what could have caused this and how it can be fixed?
    Thanks.

If it thinks the screen isn't fully opening (maybe there's a limit switch?) then it will immediately shut it again.

Mine did the same thing. Replaced it with an aftermarket unit before I found a fix.

Something funny going on with the button you press to open it? Maybe a quick squirt with some contact cleaner?

Mine does this as well but only on occasion. Usually turning on and off the car works. Don't know any explanation to why it happens....

Good thing I don't use the sd card slots any more or I'd be really annoyed.

What I meant was if the limit switch is faulty or misadjusted it will still come right out but as the switch doesn't operate the RNS-E will not THINK it's right out and will immediately close it.
