    lets do some math

Okay so take the mileage of your car.

    Miles: 115,000

Then divide that number by the number of miles you get per gallon

    MPG: 24

That is the amount of gallons in used in your car (really roughly)

    4791 Gallons

Now, multiply that by the current gas price per gallon

    $3.00 for 91

Now you have the total cost of money you and or previous owners have spent on gas.

    $14, 375

    108,000 miles
    mpg: 21
    5143 X $3.00 = $15,430

Except that it is WAY off.

A few things that you forgot. You need to take the average price per gallon of gas for each year that the car was driven. Then you need to average all of the total averages for all the years so you come up with a more centralized average. The way you are doing it is making the cost way to high. Noble effort though. I never thought about it before.
