    Hi cW,

While it appears that way when using our site, I assure you that upon checkout, any items shipped to an out of state address will NOT be charged sales tax. This issue is being addressed, but has proven to require more time than expected to fix. We apologize for the confusion.

How many engine mount inserts are needed per car? Do we need two per car? How well does it pair with the transmission dogbone mounts? Does this eliminate the need for a dogbone mount?

We're working on such a piece for the AWD MQB cars, just don't have an ETA on the finished product as of yet.

The vehicle in question requires only one engine mount insert. We offer a red sport/street version as well as a black race version. This piece was created to fill the void inside of the existing factory rubber mount, thus if you have one of our inserts installed, you wouldn't need to install any additional dogbone mount insert.

The key difference between the two would be with the clearance of the driveshaft. Our FWD downpipe will not clear the driveshaft of an AWD equipped A3/S3.

I checked the website, but want to make sure. You do not offer a downpipe for the quattro 8V, correct?

oh, your piping looks very clean with great looking welds. I like how you don't have any cats or anything else interfering with the flow. it looks like a great straight/test pipe. I assume its a 3inch all the way from the turbo. I wonder how much more sound will it allow through from the engine to the stock exhaust.

do you know when you will have it for the S3? no rush just curious.
also it looks like you kept all the attachment points of the oem unit, or am I not seeing it correctly in the pics?
I hope you guys will be able to get even a better pricing cause this will outsell the other brands easily if price and product is great.

    Hi Aaron,

Correct, we do not currently make a downpipe that will fit the Quattro MQB A3/S3/Golf R.

    Hi 949,

Thanks for the compliments! As it stands, the current FWD version has an option to configure the DP with either a test pipe section or a high flow cat section. And yes, the system is 3 inches from the connection with the turbo all the way down past the TP/HFC part of the downpipe. The only reduction in size would be at the very end where the DP would meet the smaller diameter OEM portion of the stock exhaust.

We don't currently have a timeline on availability of our AWD version DP. We'll see what kind of pricing we can secure once we have a finished product. In regards to your other comment, indeed whenever possible and to ensure the best fitment, we use the OEM mounting points for our parts.

    Thanks,
    Eurocode

I cant wait to see it and hear it in action. I am local so I wouldn't mind coming to see it installed and tested once you make something.

I am curious why I don't see versions made with a donut and two bolts to secure the attachments per each pipe? I feel that those would be more tighter.

One takes away the ability to use the extended trunk space by folding down the seats, the other does not. You would have unscrew and remove the brace to gain that back. One requires you to drill holes into your car, the other doesn't. One is great for a dedicated track car, the other is intended for use in a daily driver.

Review on vortex for a customer who uses both on his Golf R (essentially the same thing as the S3). Note the front brace is not compatible with the S3 due to windshield design
