Can't decide which wheels to go with!

My '10 Phantom Pearl black S Line is ready for a new pair of shoes!

Initially, I had all but pulled the trigger on these:

    STR 615 Black/Machined Silver 19x9.5 et40

But lately I've been bouncing back n forth with these 2 from Niche, same size w exception of et35 instead.
    Surge
    Verona.

Really digging the concave look but STRs have that classic look minus concave and approx $275-$300 less than either Niche.

Anyone running either of these all comments welcome! Otherwise, feel free to pick wc works for you and why.

Here's what they'll be going on..

Not a fan of the STR's personally, but I def love the first niche.

Seen lots of people with those and looks amazing!

Is it me or do the Niches look to have some dark bronze tones even though they're labeled as black/machine finish..

Anyone out there have either of these currently on their B8?

Last thought is would et35 on 9.5s be too aggressive. I've read et40 is pretty ideal w near flush results..

    What's good Smellie!!

So am I right that the finish on the Niche's has a hint of dark bronze to it?

Would love to see some pics of either/both on a black B8/similar as a reference.

Niche Surge would be my vote. And I think you'll probably be safe with that offset if you run the correct size tire... Do some recon in the wheel and tire stickied thread to confirm.

Based on the specs for this setup (19 x 9.5 et35) with H&R Sport spring + OEM sport strut drop, I should be good with a 245-35-19 tire.

Was debating whether to go Sumi's HZR III's or Hankook Vents.. Seen a lot on the forums using both with good feedback. Sumi's prob best bang/buck.

Research the weight of the wheels, Niches are very very heavy.

I suggest the first Niche wheels unless your going with a big offset then id maybe go with the second. FYI my Niche winter setup is holding up fine and no issues with paint.

    Hmm

I have OEM 19" Peelers now which are fairly heavy. Are they that much more than OEMs?

I'm def hedging towards the Niche Surges! Wondering if there's similar wheels by other makers out there. Haven't seen many with that pattern/degree of con cavity.

    Any/all suggestions appreciated.

The other thought was whether to stay 19" vs bumping up to 20"

I'm in NorCal and despite the vast Silicon Valley money stream here, I'd say about 1/2 our roads SUCK.

I know it's subjective and given its my daily driver..

That Surge or any deep concave wheel for that matter would look that much more impressive as you get bigger.

    Thoughts?

if i were to choose out of the 3. id keep the money and keep the stock 10 spokes lol.

but id go with 2nd. the 3rd one looks too plain. way too plain. the first one is very popular for A4s.

id get vossen CV1s if i were ever to get wheels

I feel you there. I've had the car since Dec '09 when I bought it off the showroom and haven't changed the wheels once.
Aside fr usual curb rash, they're in great shape but could use some refinishing.

That said, I wanted to up the ante in terms of look/stance.
As it is, w OEM et43 offset, I have 8mm spacers in front/10mm rear.

Wouldn't mind going w a 9.5 width and et35-et40 to eliminate that and keep it fairly flush.

ive had some curb rash as well done by the previous owner. either i buy used wheels from a part out for 150 or get it repaired for 140. theres a few part outs ive seen on craigs but they wanna sell all 4. i just need 2.

IMO 10 spokes looks the best for this car. aftermarket or stock, 10 spokes is the way to go. OR...

if i ever find huracan replica wheels... this would look drop dead on the 4.

NICE! Glad to hear that's a doable fitment since that's my ideal scenario.

I had been looking at the Azors as well. Tough to beat, esp at that price point. Just wish they offered that in a darker finish.

Here's a darker finish. I purchased two sets of wheels from this place. Edit: The hub is 57.1, meaning you'd have to have them bored to spec to fit your hub. Perhaps the company can do it for you.

    Thanks for the heads up.

Unfortunately though, it's an 8.5 vs 9.5 width, is have to see if they can modify the bore to 66.6, AND it's missing that CONCAVE!!

Still looks pretty good but I'm hoping there's something out there with more of what I'm looking for.

Well, looks like Niche Surges come in either 19x8.5 or 19x10, no 9 or 9.5 for B8 fitment.,

One option is 19x10 et40. Will that offset work? I would think it'd be close to a 19x9.5 et35 setup..

    Thoughts?

IMO the stasis setup is the best looking. 20's for summer and save the stock wheels for winter use or just always use 20's and run all, I mean no seasons.

Yeah I think Bentley and Lambo wheels are usually like $2500 (at least) per. I was looking into them one time. They look great on our cars.

One option is 19x10 et40. Will that offset work? I would think it'd be close to a 19x9.5 et35 setup..

    Thoughts?

Ummm stock 19's are 8.5.....so a 19x8.5 would be.....perfect, stretched tires belong on civics.

You're correct. However, I'd like to go with a wider wheel so as to move away from using spacers.

The other option is to go with the 19x8.5 et35 to eliminate the guesswork..

I've yet to see esp the Surges locally, let alone on these forums..

Guess I gotta get to some local B8 chapter and see for myself.
