I swear coilovers and FTG are really black magic. A royal pain to adjust. Lower the front left, back right goes up. Raise the front right, back left goes down. Oyyy. Should just get bags and call it a day. I do agree there is a difference in FTG when swapping different diameter wheels as well.

This 26.5 FTG on 20x9. I think it's an ideal height for an AR on coils

Firmness is set to 6 on all four corners. It's been that way since install but the ride is good. Cushy for my daily commute but stays planted when I flirt with the law.

It's not worth it. Car has 100k miles on it. If I knew I'd have it for another 3 years id switch to ST, H&R, or PSS10 but once the B9 allroads start driving around I can't imagine myself having this one for a ton longer.

Year or two. I'll wait for the B9.5 come out when they've worked out all the issues that cause every car to need an engine replacement

Hopefully the b9 allroads won't all come with that complex new quattro setup that can't handle high torque.... It's basically front wheel drive, then electronics kick in the driveshaft to power rears when needed....
They call it quattro ultra.... I'm hoping it doesn't make it to the US!.....

All B9 allroads will have Quattro Ultra, as will all future MLB chassis cars (A4/S4/A5/S5/allroad/Q5/Q7, etc.). The allroad is just the first to get it.

It's not Haldex-based, it's a complete rethinking of AWD. Here's the kicker though: It can be completely turned off in the MMI for full-time AWD.

Not so with all MLB cars.... Only lower hp and torque applications, so no s4 , v6 diesel , or bi turbo v6 engine cars...... It's not haldex but a similar drivetrain to the regular torsion crown we have now but with couplings that are electronically controlled.... It seems to be marketed for a better alternative to front wheel drives audi's... Yes quite a few of plain Jane audi's are sold in Europe with front wheel drive and 4 cylinder diesel engines for pure economy driving and lower tax rates...

Guess it's a plus if it can be disabled, just still don't think it'll be as trouble free as a pure mechanical setup.... Besides if the s4 won't have it with its 360 tq or more capabilities... What's the point.... It won't be be able to handle the increased torque and HP as well as the current system...

That's the first I've read that the system can be disabled via MMI. Great news!

It's all about moving towards more fuel efficient vehicles and this is another small step in that direction. If the system provides better fuel economy without sacrificing performance, I don't see what the big deal is? The quattro kicks on in 250 ms. Who knows. Most Audi owners don't care about ZF specs and are out driving and enjoying their cars anyway.

Yeah man, the RS5 wheels are the perfect fit for an AR. The offset is awesome and sit really well in the arches. No spacers needed.

Ha, yeah that's me! Thanks @Slow4 This one is Ice Silver Metallic. It's a nice color but if I ever get another Audi, might get something a little different.. or perhaps custom.

    Volcano Red!

If you've EVER seen one in person or just happen to glance at one in passing as I did, you'll be stunned with "WTF WAS THAT?!?"; Volcano red with the Chestnut brown interior = sex!!!

It's funny you say Volcano Red. After I bought mine, that was the first one I ever saw out on the road. Little old lady pulling out of a Wawa. I would of traded with her, straight up. Lol. It was a sexy color!

There's a guy on here in my area who has one. I'd like to check it out someday.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for this beauty of an Allroad when I'm driving around town (another Phoenixville local here).
EDIT- This thread is making me want to pick up a used B8.5 Allroad.

There he is! How is fatherhood going?? Sleepless nights I'll bet. Argh! I was at the West Chester C&C a couple weekends ago. And Lehigh Valley this past. I won't be able to make this one since I'll be going to the Garden State Euros season opener in Asbury Park, NJ this Sunday. Not sure if I'm going to my buddy's Saturday night or going directly that morning. You're more than welcome to roll with me if you wanted to join. Should be a fun gathering of VAG / BMW's at the Wonderbar. I do want to see that AR soon!

What's up @SteveYem ! I've been meaning to send you a DM. I've seen your posts on the S4 side. Looking to do some vagcom locally. I'm surprised I've never seen your car around this small town.

Sounds good man! Totally understand. I'm trying to squeeze in a bunch of car events now because come early June I'll up all night again as well with our little girl on the way. 6 more weeks or so.

    Update 5/30/16

Added some small things and some big things.

GIAC Stage 1 Tune (Stock, 93 Octane Pump, Race/E85 files)
034 High Flow Cat w/ O2 Mini cat spacer
    Red Top Coil Packs
    NGK BKR7EIX Iridium Spark Plugs
    CR-15 Upper Strut Tower Brace
    OEM European taillights (on order)
Europrice Semi Dynamic rear turn signal modules
    OEM fog light housings
    LED 3500K H11 fog bulbs
OEM S4 Rear Brakes Color matched to Porsche Guard Red with ECS Tuning 330x22 2-piece cross drilled & slotted rotors w/ s/s lines

The rear S4 brakes were purchased from the classifieds for a cool $300 and are currently being color matched to Porsche Guard Red.

The tune is awesome, it's really not the same car anymore. It pulls so much harder than stock and even though I've got a couple baby seats in the back it provides me more confidence on the road than before. When pulling out into traffic and general driving I'm able to get-up-and-go so much faster. I have not filled up with E85 yet since it's not readily available to me (1 hour roundtrip) but I plan to eventually. Really wanna test that out. I did run the HFC for several hundred miles prior to the tune and did not throw a CEL. I've also driven the car about ~1,700 miles since the tune and have not thrown a single CEL either, even though GIAC's tune does not code out the rear O2 sensor. So, good news there.

My fog housings were hazed over really bad and were bothering me so replaced those. Cleans up the front and the LED bulbs are bright & crispy. Running 3500K but have a box of 6000K as well I'm gonna test too.

CR-15 Upper Strut Tower Brace, this little anodized black bar is so nice. I don't see many people talking about it in the B8 section and not sure why. It's the best money I've spent. Night and day difference in handling, really firmed up the steering. It's truly point and shoot now and I'm not even running the Alu Kreuz. I don't know the seller personally, @u2nelson but goddammit his product kicks ass. Love the OEM look using (4) OEM points of contact. It's hidden under the plastic cowl working silently in the background.

As soon as I get the rear tails I'll get the semi-dynamic modules hooked up and coded too.

    Enough chatter, here's some pics...
