B7 S4 Avant

Happy New year everyone! I just wanted to post to see if anyone was thinking of selling or knew of one for sale, but I am looking for a Manual B7 S4 Avant. I don't care about the color really, just that the body and paint is in good or better condition. If there are mods that is alright with me, and looking to get one with 90K miles or less (lower the better). I started searching here and there but it seems there are an over abundance of Tiptronics for sale, but manuals are impossible to find (which is expected) If the chain tensioners and guides were done that is a plus but not critical. I have found one that I am interested in but need to get a PPI done.

Thanks! Yeah I was going to have the compression and leakdown, did not know about the boroscope, will be sure to ask when I talk to them on Monday. Keeping my fingers crossed nothing is wrong. And as for the stable, it will shift. The A4 is my daily right now but I will sell it and make the S4 my daily. I bought the RS4 thinking I would have that as my fun car but.... I realized an avant is what I was really yearning for. Putting up the RS4 as well, as much as it pains me.... Once I finish out grad school next fall I will be able to justify having more than one vehicle, and maybe I will pick up another RS4, but for now it just does not make sense to do so. Ill update once I have the report back on the S4 :) its a 2007 Brilliant Black, no mods, had 3 accidents, but all minor fender benders, going to see what i find out.

Man… i just did the opposite (b6 avant though) and already miss it reading this thread.Nothings beats the looks when rolling around in a wagon with a rumble although hopefully my rs4 will help with the empty void of being without the v8 third pedal wagon

I have been in talks with that owner and it is what I am looking at now. He had someone take it to a shop and then the dash wasnt working at all... something went sideways and they are trying to fix it i guess... Going to see what happened on Monday when they shop is open again. Might have the local audi dealership in victoria do the PPI and all that since there are not many audi shops in Victoria lol

So I spoke with the shop that did the inspection on the one from Victoria, they said there was nothing wrong with it, but did not do a compression test, though they said it was to them working just fine. They would not do a cylinder inspection, just not something they would do. I spoke to the Audi dealership in Victoria and they said they could do it for about $1,300, which seems a bit steep..... any suggestions? They said they do a PPI plus compression test for $300 Canadian. Which seems reasonable

Hmmm... Interesting. Trim is atrocious but easily fixed. Wish it wasn't an 06 but... Tempted. Thought it was the same car from here that was sold to an AZ member from las Vegas, then tried to be resold 3 weeks later by the new guy for almost 3k more... Glad it's not lol, thanks for the link!

Question for the masses: dude is selling his avant, told me it had some minor scratches which are below. In the pics they seem a bit more pronounced than minor.... Said he would take off 2k for the second set of rims, CL posting is here http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/rds/ctd/5391646874.html

Thoughts? Haven't done a ppi, thinking I would rather see it before paying for one... Unless he goes to 20k (all prices in CAD)

Also, still in talks with the owner of this lovely vehicle, torn. Thoughts? This is clean, 2 minor fender benders, had car completely fixed and detailed. Only mod is APR exhaust. Talked with the owner, super nice, has all maintenance records. Shops up there won't do the cylinder inspection unless I pay about $1300-1500 to get it done.... Think the ppi and compression test will be good enough?

Same guy, Paul. If you're heading there, mind taking a close look at it for me? The amount of scratches is both annoying and just one thing I don't want to deal with if they are as bad as they look in the pictures.

As far as mods, don't care either way, will end up modding if stock. Paint and biddy on the black car is immaculate.
