Aside from it being a bit too far forward, I'm loving the quick smooth shifts. The knob is awesome too. Weighs a ton!

Yeah that looks pretty far forward. He probably has the adjustment on the base too far forward. If you're getting all the gears, the shift linkage adjustment should be all set. Its only a 6mm allen. You would just have to loosen that one 6mm allen and then slide the whole shifter base assembly back. ~10 mins max.

JHM actually has some how to videos on YouTube that can help you adjust it if you want to.

I also find it strange that 1st gear seems to be moved to the right a small bit. What I mean by that is, when I would put the car in 1st gear I always move the shifter all the way left and then up. Now if I go all the way left, it blocks me from going up. I have to go up and go to the right a small amount. It's very odd feeling. It led me to mis-shift a few times. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or did that not make any sense.

Definitely check the jhm video, I installed this myself this weekend and the adjustment tutorial was spot on. Yours looks too far forward.

It needs adjusting. Find the videos (there's two of them) and make the adjustments. Especially the second one since its for fine adjustments.

If you have an android phone you can use clinometer to adjust the degrees the shifter is angled at. I'm sure iPhone has an app for it too.
