I am posting here since case might affect the B7:
Daughter stopped yesterday and said: Dad, go for a spin, car makes a weird noise. After a quick ride, I could definitively hear an exhaust leak under load and the car was a dog. I thought the laziness was normal, leak = less back pressure for the turbo = dog.
Since the car is a 2013 A3 CPO, I dropped the car to the dealer this morning, got a Q7 as loaner (yuk) and she took my baby to work.
Service advisor (Friend) called me around noon and asked me to stop by the shop after work, no further details. Me no like
First question upon arrival: Does she drives the car the say way her dad does?
Since he is a good friend, I did not answer because I am not sure what he meant and we walked in the shop to see the car
The V clamp on the turbo housing broke, turbo separated and here are the results:
Good news: she is getting a brand new turbo under warranty but since my mileage is pretty high on the A4, 180K, I was wondering if this is something that I should replace?
