I run that clutch and it does the job well, it is an OEM part after all (stock b5 S4 Luk clutch). The lightweight flywheel does chatter some (mainly with the AC on), but a lot of folks have successfully reduce it but also installing a Fluidampr crank pulley. With the LWFW the engine revs up and down noticeably quicker. I don’t have the logs in front of me, but on my stg2+ car I saw a reduction in FATs times (comparing 3500rpm-6500rpm time stamps while logging).

If I had to do it all over again however, I would opt for the JHM clutch kit. It uses a B7 RS4 clutch, and a 9lbs flywheel vs ECS’ 11lbs.

You may be testing the limits on a Stage 1 kit with the S4 clutch. It really depends on what kind of power you plan on making with the gtx2863r

I might suggest the Stage 2 with the RS4 clutch.

I run JHM's clutch....and to date its the only clutch of that has held and lasted. I have had 5 different clutchs in my B6! 5!

The interesting thing...it utilizes the 'stock' B7 RS4 pressure plate and disk! STOCK!

I run a spec stage 2 clutch. All I have is a stage 2 file with some bolt ons.

I've launched it probably 100x and it's still holding quite well, it's also been to the drag strip a few times of that means anything as far as durability. It uses a 17lb steel wheel which is considerably more quiet than the ecs stage 1 lot's 12lb aluminum fw.

Also my ecs stage 1 kit pressure plate broke a couple fingers leaving me with an interesting 200 mile ride home last winter. Though the failure may have been more due to driver error. Launching awd isn't the easiest thing at first.

Ngpracing sells the SPEC kit i believe.
