maintenance cost DSG on '11 TDI

So, as an avid lurker - took the plunge and registered today.

Had a few Audis so far - most recently a 2011 TDI Premium Plus w the DSG.

First (not covered by AudiCare anymore) service coming up here on Monday.
I do a few things around the car myself regularly - but kept my fingers off the DSG service...

So that's due now and Audi quoted a whopping 486USD for that.
The oil change adds another 129 - but that's peanuts in comparison...

Does that DSG fluid and filter change price sound right?
Can't find anything online to verify this...

    Thank you!

    Robin

Yes, you need 6 quarts at around $25 a bottle. A filter, the seal...pay the time needed to let the hot trans cool enough to drain and then refill at a certain temp. Most of that is labor but it is accurate.

Wow - apparently the VW brethren can get this on their DSG for a lot cheaper...
399.95 + tax for their DSG service...

Do it yourself and save yourself $400, longest part was refilling the dsg with fluid, I did it through the filter to avoid the $150 filler tool....or make your own.
