    Paint needs to breathe???

I remember people telling me all the time that paint needs to "breathe". People would advise against things like car covers and bras (yes I am that old).

Is this just a myth? Films, ceramic coatings, etc would tend to make me think that paint does not need to breathe? Or do those products still allow paint to breather?

The general consensus is that you would need to wait at least 30 days for the paint to outgas before applying any type of film or wax.
