    B8.5 License Plate LED Lights?

    My A4 comes with LED's already but I don't feel like they're very bright-- nothing compared to the Ziza kit on ECS. however, ECS says they aren't compatible with '13+ cars that come with LEDs. any insight? Is the harness different? Thanks!

    any festoon 39mm bulb will work. theres no harness lol. just replace the bulb

    It actually looks like it's the entire housing assembly, not just a bulb.... that's why i was wondering...

    ahh gotcha. cant help with that one. i opted just replacing bulbs since its cheaper and easier route. cost me 6 bucks for 4 leds.

    nope. but i see what your saying. the 8.5 led housing might be entirely different.

    I also don't want people to see my plate.

    Little trick if you have a tinted plate cover and turn on your rear fogs your plate is completely blurred...

    I have been pulled over for them too. I don't have a front plate and my windows are darker then the depths of Africa, so it's like a felid day for the cops.

    The B8.5 LEDs consist of the entire housing, so you can't fit brighter LEDs unless you swap back to the B8 housings. This will also need replacing the connectors as they're different.

    OP you want brighter license plate lights? why? most people want something dim and crisp like your oem LEDs

    I think the OEM is perfect, not too bright or dim.

    Thanks. Its actually Ice Silver. It does look a little grey in the pic for some reason. I love the black plates but hate the yellow but I think it is a slight improvement over the normal one California has.
