B8.5 S4 - T-Mobile SIM - what am I doing wrong, no signal

I purchased the car used and it had what I assume was the original sim included with the car. The previous owner seems to have discontinued the data service, but the MMI+ display would still show signal bars and indicate 3G coverage. I went to T-Mobile today and purchased a standard, data-only sim card as an add-on to my account. T-Mobile confirms it's active.

I swapped the sims out and now show no bars, etc. I rebooted the MMI and still no luck. I checked the carrier settings and it's the same m2m.t-mobile.com that was working before.

Any thoughts? What am I missing?

Still not getting ANY network bars or connection w/ either the original owner's sim OR the t-mobile one. Anyone w/ thoughts? T-Mobile told me the new apn to use is fast.t-mobile.com

Moot point now - canceled the Sim; looks like I'll just buy directly from the dealer for the setup support
