    B5 S4 avus onto S6

Having a little dilemma finding cheap rims to fit over stock HP2's on my S6.

Will the 17 inch Avus rims from a B5 S4 clear and have appropriate width for being on a C5 S6?

    Thanks!

Yes. They're the same wheels and the same brakes.
Even cooler is the S8 wheel, which was pretty much identical, but 18" .

I thought the actual width would effect it, going from 8 inch to 7 inch.
It is the exact same distance from the fender to side of rim?

    The S6 Avus wheels are 17x8 et35.

    The B5 S4 Avus wheels are 17x7.5 et45.

So they will fit, but they will be narrower and you'll probably need a spacer to make them sit in the wheel well properly.

They're not easy to find, but if you find D2 S8 Avus they're hollow lightweight wheels. Super cool. I imagine you ask about the B5s because they're dirt cheap and everywhere.

Only bad thing about them is they are heavy. I guess you gotta pay to play when it comes to unsprung weight.

I'm more over in a pickle to get snow rims under $300, and all the 5x112 are such high offset they won't fit.
So found a set, and will probably inquire within a week.

By numbers I'm assuming the avus rim would sit quarter of an inch closer to the inner/body off the vehicle (less poke) due to the rim width alone?
