Oil leak from oil cooler area

My car has a significant oil leak and it seems to be from the oil cooler area. I'm losing about quart every 30 mins the engine is on (whether I'm driving on the highway or idling).

Where could it be coming from? Is the tubing into and out of the oil cooler a weak point in these cars? Can the cooler itself somehow fail?

Without inspection it is hard to pinpoint the cause. But most of the time the gaskets on the oil cooler go bad.
