    A4 exhaust questions

So I have a 3 inch down pipe going into a res delete pipe to stock mufflers and the car is very quiet. I want to hear my car and hear the turbo whistle without getting annoyed with the noise level. Would my best option be cutting off the muffler then run a flex pipe to an aftermarket muffler like borla or MagnaFlow? I really wanna try to avoid pricey cat backs because I'm on a low budget.

Without a larger turbo, or a cone filter you won't really hear the k03 too much, its pretty quiet. If you aren't looking for a whole exhaust then switching out the stock muffler with a magnaflow or what have you should make it louder.

I have an intake on the turbo, and I unbolted the mufflers so it's was a straight pipe and you could really hear the turbo but obviously it was just too loud for me

XS auto crome or ssac is not bad for the price

here are some clips ssac can be had for around 300 I believe and is a 2.4-2.5 exhaust good sound not to much drone and works up till F21 size turbo

this is a cheaper option too cx racing

    SSAC

    exhaust info

review As far as I know this is the bang for buck cat back for our cars.

I have more sound clips if you want to hear them

My 3" catless DP on stock exhaust sounds wicked. Keep in mind, Audi's use excellent sound proofing. My exhaust/turbo sounds killer on the outside, and definitely deep and 'bassy' inside the car.

Next step would be remove muffler/cat for additional noise

    or

get a custom SRI intake + DV. That will offer AWESOME turbo noise while keeping the exhaust noise tame.
