    so quick question , i have a 2003 a4 1.8t. I upgraded the head unit to a avhx2600 and wired a sub and after market amp. I'm getting distortion a lvl15 out of like50.
i was thinking of re wiring the stock speakers to an after market amp.
Can I just take the wires from the stock amp and wire it to another amp?
What are the speakers running at?
why am I getting clipping/ distortion.

sorry for the sh**ty post but really need help.

Distortion from the regular speakers? or from your sub?

If your stock speakers are already distorting *assuming you are running them off the head unit or the stock amp* then adding an aftermarket amp to power them is likely going to make it worse.

No, you would not want to either. I believe that Pioneer has 6 pre-outs, assuming you are using the 2 subwoofer ones to your sub amp? That leaves you with Front / Rear available. You should have run power from the battery to the sub amp, along with ground and I am assuming used the remote out from the Pioneer. If so, and you buy another amp, pick up a fused distribution block, 1 in 2 out. Take the power that comes from your battery to your sub amp and put that on the input, run 2 new power wires on the outputs to each amp. Add a new ground for additional amp and hook up a remote wire. You can re-use the speaker wire going into the doors, but that's about it and depending on your new amps locations it might be easier to run new speaker wire.

Not sure what you mean, are you talking about the resistance? I think if you have Bose they are 2ohm, non Bose 4 ohm.

Assuming level 15 out of 50 is head unit volume? Are you running the stock speakers off the factory amp still? or are they running off the head unit directly? How is the head unit wired to the stock amp? Kind of hard to say without knowing how you have things wired.
