    2002 a 4 window not working

I 'm rebuilding a 2002 1.8 a 4 that the timing belt broke in. The rear window regulators were gone in it and you could push the windows up and down. I have a 2004 parts car so I thought that I would change out the rear doors and the drivers door because of a rust issue now the windows don't work. When I check for codes with VCDS I get no communication with control module any thoughts on the issue would be greatly appreciated thank you.

There's a split between model years for the main window switch. So if you have individual switches from a newer model they may not communicate properly with the main switch. Which would make sense why you're getting the error.

I'd assume you would need to swap everything over to 2002 parts.
