Has anyone used 034 Motorsports Snub (Torque) Mount, Street Density listed for the B7 Audi RS4 & C5 Audi RS6 on a c5 belt driven 4.2 or can anyone confirm if a RS6 snub/torque mount works on a 4.2?

Yes. I have done that. It's still installed and seems okay, but really.... don't bother.
The mounts are NOT directly interchangeable. You can NOT simply bolt the RS mount onto the stock 4.2 place, the dimensions are wrong.
Here's what the Rs mount looks like:

And here's the regular 4.2 mount:

You can see the physical difference on the side with the stud. If you're cheap/ creative (like me) you find a fuckin way! Then you tell people not to bother since it's not "right", takes extra work, and as far as I can tell there's no benefit.
Definitely not worth it since the correct part is only $25 more..

What did you have to do make the torque mount work? I went ahead with the 034 version and the mount seems to be shorter than the factor one. My factory one was complete torn so Im not sure if my motor is sacking some at the moment and I just need to raise it to make the mount fit. Also do you shims under mount holding the torque mount down on the frame?

Well, ...if you really want me to admit it. Okay. See That aluminum 'dome' that the stud comes through on the 4.2 mount? I used a cut-off wheel and cut it off the old mount around it's circumference. And swapped it onto the Rs6 mount to get the dimensions right. That is the major physical difference between the two; but after that you'd notice the rubber mount on the normal 4.2 mount is larger, maybe softer.

And yes, there are aluminum shim/ plates on the body under the mount that bolts down. Not sure if they're insulators or what exactly.
You want another ungodly HACK that I've committed to save money short term? On my other S6 the torque mount was broken in two as usual so I DRILLED the ****** out. All the way through. And ran a bolt down through the entire thing. At first it seemed a little harsh, but after a couple weeks you don't even notice it.

Come to think of it...I'm not sure I ever replaced the mount in that car properly. It may still be that way...
